Gain hands-on international experience collaborating with students from other institutions and exploring business and cultural sites in three countries. Work in virtual teams with students at another US university as well as students in Germany using a variety of collaboration tools to solve real world problems. Participate in Design Thinking training at SAP Atlanta, visit SAP headquarters in Walldorf and learn about digital innovations at the SAP Leonardo Center in Paris. Network and explore the innovative work of a variety of international corporations, and so much more! See the videos at the bottom for a taste of what you will see on the program!

Dr. Goette HeadshotDr. Tanya Goette is the Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science and Professor of Information Systems. She has worked at GC since the fall of 1996 and has taught various classes such as principles of information systems, programming with VB and COBOL, web development with ASP and ASP.Net, and web design at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Currently, Dr. Goette teaches database management and professional development courses.

Tanya has had the opportunity to travel to China, Scotland, Ireland, England, the Netherlands, and Germany. She spent three weeks as a faculty member on a study abroad program to Australia. Dr. Goette travels with her family as well and has visited all but five states.

Tanya and her husband, Rick, met at GC and have been married since 1983. They have two children (daughter Morgan is a Dec. 2019 graduate of GC), five cats, and two dogs. Dr. Goette serves as the faculty advisor to the GC Clay Target Club.



Dr. Joy Godin teaches both graduate and undergraduate information systems courses in the College of Business and is the course lead for the Management Information Dr. Godin HeadshotSystems course in the Georgia WebMBA.  She has coauthored and mentored both undergraduate and graduate students on research projects published in scholarly journals. Joy has worked with students on service-learning projects including the elementary school Cyber-bullying and Computer Safety education project, and the Girls Who Code workshops for middle school girls.  Dr. Godin has an on-going research stream devoted to virtual teams and she plans to extend this research while directing a study abroad program she is offering to her students next summer in the Netherlands, Germany and France.  She has served on the board and as the President, Conference Chair, and Program Chair of the Southern Association for Information Systems. While at Georgia College, Dr. Godin has received awards including: Best Doctoral Paper at the Southeast Decision Sciences Institute, WebMBA Outstanding Faculty of the Year, Georgia College Award of Excellence in Online Teaching, and the Georgia College Award of Excellence for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
