USGG MadridConsider studying during the summer in Madrid, the geographic center of Spain and the historic center of the entire Hispanic world. The city of four million is a modern European hub with state-of-the-art transportation and cafes, but its Old World charm shines through in its long afternoon siestas, its warm and friendly people, and its majestic monuments of Spain’s glorious past. Students will have the opportunity to live in a typical Madrid neighborhood popular for students, eat at tapas bars, visit world-class museums, and enjoy life in this vibrant city. From practicing Spanish language skills to learning about ancient world history, Madrid is an ideal location for any student hoping to gain an exciting, informative, and productive intercultural experience.

This program is hosted by USG Goes Global, a partner of Georgia College Study Abroad.
  • ALL GC applicants must complete the USG Goes Global application and this GC online application.
Application Steps for GC Students:
  • Complete the Georgia College online study abroad application Select the “Apply Now.” link at very bottom of this page Use your GC Unify login credentials. Once inside the GC online application, complete all items and questionnaires.  Pay the required application fee. Hit the "Submit" button once completed.
  • Complete the USG Goes Global online application found HERE. You will need to create a login and password for the USG site. When asked, enter "James Callaghan" as your GC Campus Rep.
  • Pay the deposit at the USG site. The deposit will be applied to the program cost. You can do this at any time, but it is recommended that you wait until you have finalized which courses you will take. Meet with your GC Academic Advisor first to ensure the courses will keep you on track for graduation.
  • Your application for this program cannot be reviewed until all above steps are completed. You can do any of the steps in any order, but the USG application will not be "certified" and approved by the GC Study Abroad office until you have completed the GC application and paid the application fee. Contact the GC Study Abroad office if you have questions about how to apply.
