Explore central Italy from Rome to Florence and Siena! The program is based in the heart of beautiful Montepulciano, the highest of the hill towns in Tuscany. It combines breathtaking views of the countryside dotted with vineyards and olive groves with delicious local cuisine and a history that stretches back to the pre-Roman Etruscans. Remnants of Florence's Medici rulers are still visible today.

The photos and images will take your breath away! It really is that gorgeous!
This PPT includes images of cities around Italy where students can go on their free weekends. The program includes many field trips and excursions, including longer visits to Rome, Florence, and Siena.
The town of Montepulciano is small enough that students feel “at home” almost immediately. Classes are held in a renovated medieval fortress near the central piazza, which contains modern classrooms facilitated by Kennesaw State University.
Instead of the typical study abroad arrangement where participants live in university dormitories and eat in cafeterias, students on this program live in shared apartments within the medieval walls and eat in local restaurants. Best of all, students in Montepulciano will feel welcomed as a part of the community rather than feeling like an anonymous tourist in a crowded city. Many students come to think of Montepulciano as their “other” home and return there whenever they can.
Courses: a variety of lower and upper level courses.
