A unique program offering unique classes! Study Physics, History, Political Science, or Russian language.

Classes:Students select one morning and one afternoon course. The evening course is optional.

Morning classes (students select one):
  • HIST 4250 St. Petersburg in War and Revolution
  • PHYS 4980 Space Technologies
  • MFLG 2950/4950 Russian Language 1001, 1002, 2001, 2002 (See note above about Russian language courses)
Afternoon classes (students select one):
  • POLS 4950 Russian Politics
  • PHYS 4980 Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion
Evening class (optional):
  • INST 2950 Survival Russian Language and Culture - 2-hour course offered on Monday evenings

Meet the Program Director

Russia Dir.  Irina McClellan

Ms. Irina McClellan is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia. She graduated from St. Petersburg State University and has been teaching Russian language at Valdosta State University and University System of Georgia since 2001. She has been leading the St. Petersburg, Russia study abroad program since 2004 and has enjoyed sharing the love for travel, Russian culture, history, language and everything Russian with hundreds of students over the years. She is here to help students discover the mystery of Russian culture whether you have always been fascinated with Russian culture and history or just looking for a new unique destination to explore.
